Releasing a Monarch by Jimmy Pappas

To my
surprise

it flies
up

above a
pine,

searching for
something

in the
sky

I cannot
find.

  1. I was just rereading this poem. It was fun to create this form that I call a "dyo" which is the Greek word for "two." Each stanza has two lines with two words in the first line and one word in the second line. I would love to read others by other authors.
