Cold Sun by Howie Good

Every day the world
burns down anew
on the six o’clock news.

A window shimmering
with streaming raindrops
moves me more,

like the saddest sadness ever,
but cast in platinum
and encased in diamonds.

Howie Good is the author most recently of Stick Figure Opera: 99 100-word Prose Poems from Cajun Mutt Press.
